Panel Discussion

Brad Simpson will discuss questions of methodology and scale in writing the global history of ideas and concepts such as self-determination. I intend to argue that narrating and explaining the history of self-determination in the twentieth century requires attention to both global and local dynamics, as well as to legal, intellectual, diplomatic, and vernacular discourses.
