Panel Discussion

Heather Salter will discuss writing the history of development in the last half of the twentieth century in the global context of the Cold War, decolonization, and state-building. Her approach is world-historical and multi-scalar, taking into account the perspectives and priorities of the would-be clients of development as much as those of the would-be developers, while taking care to zoom in and out of global, international, regional, organizational, and even individual scales.
