Session Abstract
This session welcomes early-career scholars and other folks on the job market who are interested in careers at Small Liberal Arts Colleges (SLACs) to join in a relaxed and open conversation with current SLAC faculty. We’ll explore what makes working at a SLAC unique and offer advice for job-seekers thinking about how they might frame their teaching, research, and service experiences for a SLAC context. We’ll also talk about how job-seekers can tailor their application materials and prepare for interviews and campus visits at these student-centered institutions. Sponsored by the AHA’s Working Group on Small Liberal Arts Colleges.
