In a course on Veterans and Society, students researched veterans interred at Florida National Cemetery from a variety fo periods, from World War I to the present, to examine changes in the veterans place in society as experienced by the veterans themselves. Issues addressed included shifts in generational attitudes towards what we now call Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and social attitudes towards gender and race among growing veteran populations.
