Domestic Violence, Guns, and Gun Control

The presentation will discuss the role of firearms in domestic violence, historically and today, including their impact on the lethality of abuse and women’s ability to defend themselves. It will describe the way the Violence against Women Act has sought to remove guns from the hands of abusers, and why that effort has been controversial.
