The Changing Face of Mass Violence in America

The presentation will examine recent mass killings in the United States in light of historical studies of mass violence and of criminological studies of contemporary violence. It will discuss the relative importance of technology, mental illness, ideology, and other causes that may or may not have contributed to recent episodes of mass murder.
