Medici Grand Duchesses and their Pharmacies

Building on the previous talk, archival documentation relating to the work and lives of early modern women artists will be the focus of this discussion, particularly as it pertains to Florence.  These often “hidden” voices were in actuality strong presences in the archive, and this talk will explore the ways in which conferences and other platforms have sought to encourage greater recognition and study of their importance.
