Researching Women Patrons, Collectors, and Artists in the Medici Digital Archive (BIA)

This discussion will focus on the manner in which women artists, collectors, and patronesses speak to us and reveal themselves from the archives, with Catherine de Medici serving as the focal point. Professor ffolliott will also discuss the manner in which she has introduced her own students to archival research—and the Medici Archive Project specifically—and how it has served as an important educational as well as research tool for students and scholars of all levels.
