Robert Proctor, who has investigated how the design and construction of Catholic churches in Britain during the Council era were linked to liturgical reform, will push the session to contemplate the ways in which sacred space was socially and culturally constructed, reconciled, and contested by the laity, hierarchy, and secular society, both before and after Vatican II.
