Session Abstract
Drawing on data, strategies, and insights from the newly revised second edition of the AHA’s bestselling Careers for History Majors, this panel explores how current and prospective undergraduate history majors can prepare for the job market and successful transitions into a range of careers. Faculty and department leaders will discuss strategies for helping students recognize and articulate the value of their education, while recent history graduates will share their own experiences navigating from college into the workforce. Together, panelists will consider how history majors can translate their passion for learning, problem solving, and other durable skills into opportunities across a wide range of careers.
