Session Abstract

This panel investigates the ways in which historical training supports current activism and advocacy in New York. The panelists will each give presentations on how their work, and the work of the organization they represent, has grappled with questions of how history informs and empowers current activism. They will also consider questions of authority and the challenges of historically-informed organizing.
