I will discuss how I adapted an existing graduate course focused on pedagogy and professional issues for historians into the AHA Career Diversity framework. Issues that I touch on include use of alumni to enhance the course and illustrate the Five Skills; writing assignments for a 3 credit class; tensions in developing a course to serve both MA and PhD students; how to inflect the Career Diversity agenda for the student body at an access university like UW-Milwaukee; and our larger ambitions for revision of the curriculum.
