Creating a History Pedagogy Seminar at University of California, Irvine

I will present a brief overview of our department's first History Pedagogy seminar (offered Spring 2019). I will describe student learning outcomes, provide anonymous examples of student work, and share student reflections/evaluations of the course and their experience. I will also explain UCI's department rationale for starting our career development curricular intervention with a teaching-focused course, rather than elsewhere in a the diverse post-PhD career landscape.
