Stripped and Script: Loyalist Women's Letters of the American Revolution

Loyalist research often privileges androcentric texts such as voting records, muster rolls, and claims. I suggest we also look to women’s letters and journals as vehicles for political engagement. These manuscripts insist that loyalty could be inscribed upon the body and was a shifting construct during the American Revolution.
