Hell, Purgatory, or Paradise? Making the Most of a Postdoc

This presentation will describe my own journey from graduate school to a tenure-track job, including a two-year post-doctorate position in the Lilly Fellows Program at Valparaiso University. I will address the need to determine exactly what kind of post-doc you are taking (research, teaching, or some mix of the two), the challenges of researching, teaching, and being on the job market at the same time, and the importance of being a good citizen in the department or institution where you have your post-doc.
