Session Abstract

The increased demands of the Common Core State Standards pale in comparison to the challenges schools and states face as they seek to measure student mastery of these new benchmarks.  This panel brings together scholars and practitioners to discuss recent assessment and accountability measures, establishing the validity and managing the cost of these measures, privacy concerns related to the collection of student data, and analyzing the results of such assessments.
