Studying Nuclear History of Difficult Countries: The Case of South Asia

This paper would focus on the necessity of multi-archival research when studying nuclear history of countries whose archives are almost inaccessible. Using South Asia as a case in point, it argues that the multiplicity of perspectives that this type of research brings about can shed new insights on nuclear proliferation and counter-proliferation strategies, useful to historians as well as political scientists.
