Eileen Boris will consider the reach of the CCWH from the local to the global. How does the CCWH reflect the development of women's networks during the last half century?  She will look at the meaning of association: with the CCWH on the individual level--how it has allowed historians in various places and standing within the profession to connect in terms of the personal, professional, and political. She further will consider the matrix of organizations in which the CCWH exists, particularly the founding (1989) and continued vitality of the International Federation for Research in History, for which a number of past CCWH officers have played significant roles.
