This paper will describe Gwendolyn Hall and Walter Hawthorne’s NEH funded Biographies: The Atlantic Slave Data Network (ASDN), which will be launched at about the time of the AHA conference in January 2013. It will explain how the ASDN functions and point to some historiographically significant conclusions that it points to.
