This talk will deal with the activities and, particularly, the scholarly contributions of Blanche Wiesen Cook toward a peaceful world. It will focus especially on her role in the Conference on Peace Research in History (later renamed the Peace History Society)--an affiliate of the American Historical Association that, since its establishment in 1964, has provided a means for historians to apply their expertise to the quest for a peaceful world.
