Bethany Jay's dissertation research focused on how historic house museums have interpreted slavery throughout the 20th century. Jay's research interests, analysis of existing slave-related lesson plans and her own experience creating websites for teacher use, as well as her hundreds of contact hours with teachers talking with them about how to best find and use primary sources, will form the basis of her comments.
