Session Abstract
This roundtable presents key research and findings from the ACLS Doctoral Futures Program, a partnership with the AHA, the Modern Language Association, and the Society for Biblical Literature. The project examines the changing landscape of doctoral training and career pathways for the humanities. Session participants reflect on the project’s findings and their implications for graduate programs in history, from the admissions process to mentorship and from skill development and articulation to developing professional pathways both within and outside of academia. The session will consider how insights gained from the project can inform the future of history graduate education.
