Roundtable participants are practitioners working in a range of communities (Uvalde, Highland Park, and Las Vegas) and institutions, from rural and suburban public libraries to university special collections.

Topics the roundtable participants will discuss include: strategies for ethical interviewing, mental health support, and community representation; the role of public libraries after mass tragedies to become spaces for healing and remembrance; leading efforts to preserve community narratives; methods for ethical storytelling and trauma-informed community engagement; the role of cultural institutions in preserving histories of mass violence; the role of oral history and memorialization in capturing the long-term impact of trauma and preserving collective memory; well-being practices for practitioners working in communities impacted by mass violence tragedies.
