Luke Griffiths will review the trajectory of nuclear arms control since the ABM Treaty, with a focus on the 1987 INF Treaty. He will address whether techniques developed for the INF, such as on site inspection, could be applied to the new "missile defense" systems in Eastern Europe, and whether other measures, such as new ABM Treaty, would help avert a new arms race with Russia or nuclear armed exchanges, including those occurring due to error or accident. He will address whether the US should have bilateral arms treaties with China, and whether multilateral treaties are feasible.
