Session Abstract
The American Historical Review has assembled a group of more than 30 historians to prepare teaching modules that cross time and space to explore the global histories of authoritarianism and resistance to it. The modules will be published by the AHR in print and digitally. This panel brings together seven of these contributors who will talk about how they shaped their modules, the multiple historical meanings of authoritarianism and the possibilities and perils of teaching authoritarianism in this moment.
