Marquette Room (Hilton Chicago, Third Floor)
Speaker:
Lee Ann Potter, Library of Congress
Primary sources such as posters, prints, letters, maps and more can provide insight into the American Revolution, its causes, and consequences—as well as other revolutions. They can also inspire teaching strategies that revolutionize student inquiry and motivate student research. In this hands-on workshop, Library of Congress education specialists will involve participants in teaching activities featuring some of their favorite sources and will provide tips and strategies for finding compelling and useful materials in the Library's extensive digitized collections at www.loc.gov.
