This presentation describes how to engage undergraduate students in researching and writing about misrepresented or underrepresented groups in history (as demonstrated by the City of Ladies project). It also describes an ongoing international project to provide student-friendly short but analytical biographies of women from the world of the crusades (ranging from Queen Eleni of Ethiopia to Rachel of Mainz to passengers on the Saint-Victor).
