This presentation will explore how to bring together Indigenous perspectives and the insights from environmental history to understand the earliest inklings of human-induced ecological change in the world's largest rainforest. It will focus on a broad array of perspectives – from archaeology to the history of science – in approaching questions of environmental change and how to inspire students to see themselves as part of a broader solution to these questions.
