Session Abstract

This roundtable includes LGBTQIA+ historians who are either jointly appointed or affiliated with interdisciplinary departments, such as Black/African-American Studies and Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies during our current perilous moment when these departments are under risk of being dissolved or cut altogether. Some topics that will be addressed are teaching/researching in a red state and/or the politics of regionalism, collegiality between colleagues who come from different disciplines (or those who are undisciplined), etc. The audience will also be expected to share their perspectives as well.
