Speaker:
Lee Ann Potter, Library of Congress
Session Abstract
Sponsored by the Advanced Placement Program of the College Board
Elevating lesser-known or “missing” voices from the past can be a great strategy for helping students understand diverse perspectives and the complexity of history. But finding those voices can be challenging. In this roundtable, which will be followed by a hands-on workshop, Library of Congress education specialists will share some of their favorite sources and will provide tips and strategies for locating compelling and useful materials in the Library's extensive digitized collections, available at www.loc.gov.
