This session explores a collaborative model of public history leading to development of a traveling exhibit. The exhibit will be on display during the session (and for an additional portion of the conference schedule) and participants are invited to tour the exhibit. Panelists will discuss the grounding of LGBTQ+ history in community and public history, the collaborative process they followed, and some of the stories they discovered through their research that resulted in this traveling exhibit.
