Session Abstract

What does it mean to redesign introductory history courses to be more equitable and accessible? What does it take to build consensus among your colleagues, to work with other units on campus, to launch an iterative redesign process? In this panel, hear from history faculty who have undergone the Gateway to Completion (G2C) process, a redesign process designed and led by the Gardner Institute. Learn from colleagues about how this plays out in history departments and courses: what went well, what was challenging, and how others can apply these lessons to better serve their students from diverse backgrounds.
