Session Abstract
In recent years, the movement for reparations has gained momentum across the African-Atlantic world. This roundtable will address questions of reparative justice in comparative perspective, examining the divergent and overlapping demands of African-descended peoples in the US, Europe, and the Caribbean. Each scholar will describe their individual historical research on reparations, their ideas on the forms reparations should take, and the potential for broader, diaspora-wide coalitions around reparations demands.
