Podcasting as a Method to Connect the Public to Community History

This session will discuss how Harper utilized a podcast to provide an opportunity to connect podcast listeners with historic sites located on bus routes in Durham, North Carolina. I will focus on the development of a digital mapping project working which includes students and the busing system. It will show how audio can be used as a way academic researchers can connect with the public and build partnerships in the community.
