Working Luncheon for Directors of Graduate Studies

Friday, January 4, 2019: 12:00 PM-1:30 PM
PDR 2 (Hilton Chicago, Third Floor)

Almost three out of four graduate degrees awarded in the discipline are master’s degrees, yet the conversation on graduate education frequently focuses on PhDs. The Directors of Graduate Studies luncheon at AHA 2019 will provide a forum for graduate directors to discuss the value and purpose of the master’s degree, as well as recruitment, enrollment, and funding issues relating to the degree. Whether your department offers a terminal MA, a concurrent MA/PhD, admits PhD students with MAs, or something in between, this working luncheon offers a chance to learn from colleagues about the role of the master’s degree across the continuum of education, from BA to PhD.

Tickets are $30 for AHA members and $40 for nonmembers and can be purchased in advance through the registration form or at the meeting at the onsite registration counters.
