Session Abstract

This roundtable conversation will historicize the recent wave of #RedForEd teacher strikes and the 2012 Chicago Teachers Union strike. Participants will discuss these events in relation to historical and contemporary considerations of race, class, gender, labor, region, social movement unionism, and longer histories of teacher activism and worker organizing.
