Inspired to broaden our U.S. History survey courses by the AHA’s “Bridging Cultures at Community Colleges: American History, Atlantic and Pacific,” Carlos A. Contreras will discuss various ways in which he is incorporating some of the recent scholarship on the U.S.-Latin America Relationship, from new research on transnational migrations to Cold War politics and culture, into our U.S. History and World History survey courses.
