This paper highlights a Humanities Without Walls funded initiative, Gardens for a Changing Climate, to help conceptualize collaboration as an embrace of difference, recognition of privilege, and firm commitment to reciprocal relationships premised on respect. Drawing on feminist scholarship in the environmental humanities, this paper frames collaboration not only to as a vital ingredient to produce relevant and impactful knowledge, but as an essential component towards a just and livable world.
