'Colonial Latin American Review: A New Journal for Olden Times' This presentation describes the roughly 25-year history of this interdisciplinary journal, noting changes over time and recent trends in submissions. From its start at the nexus of History and Literature, CLAR has branched out to include articles in Art History, Historical Archaeology, Linguistics, Geography, and more. One pressing issue of late is the journal's name, long confused with a similarly named journal (CLAHR) and now in danger of being 'de-colonized.'
