Join colleagues for a preview of the first episode of the second season of Mercy Street, PBS’ Civil War-era drama. The series follows the doctors; nurses; soldiers; free, enslaved, and contraband African Americans; and other residents of the war-torn city of Alexandria, Virginia.
Executive producer Lisa Wolfinger will introduce the show and will be joined by series historical advisor and professor Shauna Devine, Civil War scholar Dr. Sarah Handley-Cousins, and Ashley Bowen-Murphy of Brown University to lead a discussion afterward.
