Session Abstract
History Tuning began in the US in 2009 when Utah and Indiana were approached by the Lumina Foundation to participate in the experiment. In 2012 Lumina invited the American Historical Association to begin an Association-wide Tuning experiment. That experiment has been wildly successful, sparking conversation about Tuning among historians across the country. By 2016 the Annual Meeting was a hive of Tuning discussions. This panel will look back on the impact Tuning is having on our discipline and discuss our future directions and needs.
