An Australian Perspective on History National Standards Work and SoTL in History in the Antipodes

This section of the panel will explore the Australian experience in the national standards environment. It will examine the paradigm shift in Australian higher education which made nationals standards a national discussion before sharing the Australian experience of the setting of National Standards and the results of a Commonwealth-funded project that involved every Australian university with a History major and the role the Australian Historical Association could play in compliance. Finally, this section will examine recent SOTL developments in the discipline community in Australia.
