Mapping Historical Connections with GIS

Geospatial technologies allow users to construct, interpret, and display sophisticated maps that illustrate change over time. GIS does not have to be a burdensome new technology, however. New ARC-Gis tools provide powerful mapping capabilities that are effective in the K-12 classroom. This presentation will offer a clear guide to the use of GIS for geo-historical inquiry with a focus on the ways in which this project leveraged the technology.
