Tour 17: Revolutionary Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan

This bus and walking tour will visit the principal sites of the Battle of New York, beginning with the British invasion at the Narrows between Staten Island and Brooklyn, through the battle sites in Brooklyn and on through Lower Manhattan. After touring the Narrows the tour will stop at Battle Hill in Green-Wood Cemetery, then follow the retreat of the Continental forces to the Old Stone House, the Battle Pass at Grand Army Plaza, Fort Greene Park (monument to the Prison Ship Martyrs), and back across to Manhattan island to view Fraunces Tavern, Federal Hall, Bowling Green, the Battery, City Hall Park, and St. Paul’s/Trinity Church.

Please note: This walking part of the tour incorporates mostly outdoor spaces through various terrain.

Limit: 25 people. $25 members, $30 nonmembers
