From the point of view of a major university press, how has book reviewing changed over the past decade, and what impact have these changes had on publishers? More specifically, in what ways have these changes affected the acquisition of manuscripts, the relationship between editor and author, and publicity operations for books? What sort of relationships do publishers have with book review editors and book reviewers, and what do they now expect and hope for in reviews? What further changes are likely to occur?
