Friday, January 3, 2014: 11:10 AM
Thurgood Marshall Ballroom East (Marriott Wardman Park)
Designed as a means to engage faculty and students with issues and concerns linked to the African diaspora, Project Mosaic utilizes a digital platform to promote an interdisciplinary dialogue, enhance community engagement, and support innovative pedagogical inquiry. Conceived around an orienting theme, each course project linked to Mosaic represented a distinct curricular experience that informs the whole. The resulting involvement deepens student knowledge of the African diaspora while promoting a greater engagement with the disciplinary tenets of the participating course.
