What’s The T?: Rumor, Gossip, and Black Queer Historiography in a Chocolate City

Kwame Holmes, working with oral histories of rumor and gossip from the 1970s, 80s, and 90s, will examine issues of sexuality and identity laid over politics, race, and homophobia in Washington DC. He will raise questions about the role of competing identities and race within gay political history.
