Drawing on Kate Theimer’s reflections about the relevance of archival theory for critical digital historiography, and on Joshua Sternfeld’s framework of a digital historiography, Katharina Hering will highlight the relevance of the historical theory and method of source criticism (originally developed by Johann Gustav Droysen) for the digital environment, and use a specific example to discuss possible approaches to collaborative forms of digital resource criticism.
