Session Abstract
If you are seeking a career outside of the academy step one is to convert your CV into a résumé. This workshop will provide history graduate students and early career professionals with an introduction to the difference between a CV, which highlights your credentials as an academic, and a résumé, which showcases your experiences and skills in relationship to a particular career or position. We will discuss how to translate your experience as a graduate student into language that employers will more readily recognize, offer examples of CVs that have been turned into résumés, and provide attendees with a list of resources that can help them in the process.
