Re-thinking U.S.-Arab Relations in Light of the Arab Spring

After briefly recounting some of the current scholarly trends, I will utilize some of those insights to examine U.S. reactions to the Arab spring. At the same time, however, the events of the Arab spring and U.S. policies during this tumultuous times also suggest certain ways in which we might re-think our understanding of the past.
